Correspondent Shirley Ju filled us in at Honeysuckle Media. Ju was on the ground at CHAMPS and shared some fascinating insights about the atmosphere at this year’s show. According to Ju, the trade show’s organizers made it clear that the “no smoking” rule would be enforced more strictly than ever before. “CHAMPS was interesting this year. They cracked down more than ever on the ‘no smoking’ policy,” she explained. Ju recalls, “Tommy Chong cracked jokes his entire time at the HHEMP booth. He said he was high off his own edibles,” which undoubtedly added to the laid-back yet fun vibe of the show. Known for his long-time association with cannabis culture, Chong’s presence at CHAMPS was a testament to his lasting impact on the industry.
