After 49 years of business, Norwalk’s Utopia Smoke Shop is closing its doors at the end of August, according to the store’s social media pages.
“Without going into extreme detail — we’ve done absolutely everything we can to try to survive through the changes in commerce and our economy,” Utopia shared on its Facebook and Instagram pages. “We live in a digital world, and we simply cannot keep up with the giants of e-commerce.”
“Times have changed, markets are saturated, competition and costs are high,” the post added. The owners couldn’t be reached for further comment on Monday.
