Maine Glass Blower Makes Doughnut Pipes His Signature

When recreational marijuana was legalized in 2016, it opened the doors wide open for several businesses. One of those is KGB Glass, where pipes are made and sold.
Brian Owoc opened KGB in Portland in 2005. He started blowing glass well before that after seeing it done at a Phish concert in Northern Maine. Generic pipes were blown on his table at first, but then he decided to incorporate his former job as a baker at Dunkin Donuts.
“There should be a donut pipe and I kind of looked through the internet and didn’t see one,” said Owoc. “No one had really done one yet so I was like this is something that I should do. I have a real connection with the donut. I see donuts, I know donuts.”
