Michigan Couple’s CBD Business Blooms Naturally
They have holistic healing at their heart
For Bryan Madle and Sarah Birney, the CBD industry is all about a natural approach to living a happy, healthy and pain-free lifestyle.
The husband-wife team, whose relationship began while they were students at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, began working as caregivers in the marijuana industry in 2008. They went all in on CBD as soon as the 2018 farm bill removed hemp from the list of federally controlled substances in December of that year.
Within a month, Birney and Madle launched Blooming Botanicals out of a family-owned Lansing laboratory, offering up a selection of oils, salves and other products that can help ease anxiety, stress, pain and more.
