Attorney General Tim Griffin Certifies Law Making THC-Hemp Products Illegal In Arkansas

Attorney General Tim Griffin certified Act 934 of 2025

An administrative act by the Arkansas attorney general on Wednesday formally put a halt to selling THC-based hemp products in Arkansas.

Attorney General Tim Griffin certified Act 934 of 2025, officially concluding legal challenges to the law. Griffin explained that a loophole in the federal farm bill made the sales of THC-laced candy-like products, such as gummies, legal. The law was passed as an update to a 2023 law, in order to clarify its legality.

“Today, I have certified Act 934 of 2025, which updates and expands a 2023 law that banned the sale and distribution of intoxicating hemp-derived products,” Griffin said.

The attorney general also said, “There were a few lingering issues to wrap up in the underlying lawsuit, and several weeks ago we got a final judgment in our favor, winning on a motion for judgment on the pleadings.”
