THC Alliance, Hemp Manufacturer Sue Over DSHS ‘Redefining’ Delta-9 To Count THCA Against Legal Limit
HHSC told KXAN Tuesday afternoon that it does not comment on pending litigation
Another legal challenge against Texas’ hemp rules was filed in Travis County Monday.
Those rules, created by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), took initially effect March 31. It bans consumable hemp-derived products that contain detectable amounts of certain compounds naturally occurring in cannabis plants. Texans caught in possession of the proscribed products face stiff penalties for even small amounts.
The latest litigation is against the Texas Health and Human Services Commission’s interim executive director Stephanie Muth and interim commissioner Imelda Garcia.
HHSC told KXAN Tuesday afternoon that it does not comment on pending litigation.
